Principal Technical Consultant – Public Sector (Oracle Solutions)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Principal Technical Consultant to join a growing team delivering Oracle solutions to public sector organisations. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex digital transformation programmes, designing and implementing technical solutions that support critical public services.
You’ll play a key role in delivering Oracle-based enterprise solutions, working across system integrations, data migrations, reporting and technical configuration. Collaborating with functional consultants, project teams and client stakeholders, you’ll help deliver secure, scalable and high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.
This role offers the opportunity to work with modern Oracle technologies while contributing to innovative projects in a collaborative and supportive consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement technical solutions as part of Oracle enterprise software implementations.
• Develop and deliver system integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud and REST web services.
• Analyse, design and execute data conversion and migration activities.
• Develop reports using Oracle BI Publisher and Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI).
• Configure technical components to support business and functional requirements.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and client stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues throughout project delivery.
• Ensure solutions are delivered within agreed timescales, budgets and security requirements.
• Contribute to technical solution design, implementation best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support knowledge sharing and mentor team members where appropriate.

About You
You are an experienced technical consultant with a strong Oracle background and a passion for delivering enterprise solutions. You enjoy solving complex technical challenges and working closely with clients to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Skills & Experience
Essential

• Minimum 4 years’ experience implementing technical solutions for enterprise software systems.
• Strong experience with:
  • System integrations
  • Business process automation
  • Data conversion and migration
  • Reporting solutions
• Experience with both Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server (minimum one year with each).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with public sector organisations.
• Experience developing reports using Oracle BI Publisher and Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI).
• Hands-on experience delivering integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
• Proficiency developing and consuming RESTful web services.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Experience analysing, designing and delivering system integrations.
• Experience planning and executing data migration and conversion activities.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

• 5–7 years’ relevant industry experience, including consulting or client-facing delivery experience.
• Experience implementing Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications.
• Knowledge of Oracle implementation methodologies and technical best practices.
• Experience working within secure, enterprise-scale cloud environments.
