Senior Software Engineer / SME – Oracle BRM, PDC, OCOMC & BI Publisher

Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Subject Matter Expert with 8–10+ years of experience in Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management (BRM), Pricing Design Center (PDC), Oracle Communications Offline Mediation Controller (OCOMC), and BI Publisher / Oracle Analytics Publisher. The role involves end-to-end ownership of billing, rating, pricing, mediation, and reporting systems in complex telecom environments, ensuring revenue assurance, accuracy, and high system availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, configure, and support Oracle BRM 12.x/15.x environments including rating, billing, invoicing, taxation, and revenue assurance.

  • Implement and maintain BRM customizations using opcodes, MTA applications, PCM C/PCM Java, and Unix/Perl scripting.

  • Manage full pricing lifecycle using PDC, including charge offers, discounts, bundles, tiered pricing, roaming models, and validation rules.

  • Support BRM upgrades, including cloud-native deployments, Helm-based deployments, regression testing, and production cutover activities.

  • Troubleshoot rating, discounting, billing, and reconciliation issues, including RCA for revenue-impacting incidents.

  • Design, configure, and maintain OCOMC mediation flows for telecom usage data (voice, SMS, data, roaming).

  • Develop and maintain OCOMC cartridges, node chains, parsing logic, transformations, and error-handling/reprocessing workflows.

  • Monitor mediation pipelines and ensure accurate downstream processing into BRM and billing systems.

  • Design and develop enterprise reports using BI Publisher / Oracle Analytics Publisher, including scheduling, bursting, and performance optimisation.

  • Support BRM–PDC–OCOMC–BIP integrations across cloud-native and on-prem environments.

  • Collaborate on CI/CD, release management, version control, and deployment processes across environments.

Required Skills

  • Oracle BRM 12.x/15.x architecture, configuration, customization, and administration.

  • Strong expertise in PDC pricing models, product catalog, bundles, discounts, and charge offers.

  • Oracle Communications Offline Mediation Controller (OCOMC) configuration, node chains, and cartridge development.

  • BI Publisher / Oracle Analytics Publisher (report design, scheduling, templates, and distribution).

  • PCM C / PCM Java, opcodes, MTA applications.

  • SQL, PL/SQL, and complex query optimisation.

  • Unix/Linux, Shell scripting, and Perl scripting.

  • Cloud-native BRM deployments using Kubernetes and Helm.

  • Strong understanding of telecom billing, rating, mediation, and revenue assurance processes.

  • Experience with BRM–PDC–OCOMC integration and troubleshooting.

Preferred Experience

  • Telecom CDR processing and Nokia network elements (Voice, Data, SMS).

  • High-volume billing and real-time revenue assurance systems.

  • WebLogic administration and enterprise integration environments.

  • Performance tuning of pricing imports and billing pipelines.

  • DevOps, version control, and release management in enterprise environments.
